I've just read the following comment on an article about the changing opinions of different religious groups on gay marriage: "Gay marriage is not acceptable. God has created Adam and eve not Adam and Steve."Perhaps Genesis is not a particularly reliable account of the formation of the human race, and should perhaps be taken with a pinch of salt. Or maybe God just thought it would be a good idea for the first two humans to reproduce?
By all means believe it, but don't base fundamental human rights on it. That is all.
